Campaigns and Swag
The offering of resources via this Campaigns & Swag page is intended to complement equity-related lessons and activities occurring in a school or classroom. Staff members that apply to receive any of the resources available below, must agree to provide the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion team with an equity-related lesson(s) plan in exchange for the material(s) requested. Lesson plans will be shared online in the Equity & Diversity Resource Library to further encourage the active engagement of staff and students in issues related to equity, diversity and inclusion in our classrooms, schools and communities.

Suggested use: to compliment initiatives happening around Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week (Nov 15-21), Anti-Bullying Day (Feb 24, 2016) and Day of Pink (April 13, 2016).

Suggested use: to complement classroom or school-wide lessons and activities related to gender-based violence, homo/bi/transphobia, heteronormativity, gender and sexual diversity. Can also be linked to Anti-Bullying Day (Feb 24, 2016), Day of Pink (April 13, 2016), International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (May 17, 2014), Pride month (June), Mental Health Week (May 2-8).
We Stand Together

We Stand Together is a Free The Children awareness-raising campaign to get more people talking about the challenges facing Aboriginal Canadians, and celebrating their huge contributions to Canada’s past, present and future.
Suggested use: to complement initiatives celebrating or advocating for Aboriginal Canadian cultures and rights. Can also be linked to Aboriginal Awareness Week (May 24-27), National Aboriginal History Month (June).

Note: The White Ribbon Campaign usually begins every year in late November on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and runs until December 6th, The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. These Campaign activities could start in October or early November, however can occur at any time throughout the school year.
