Update for Families: December 22, 2023

Updates for Families banner

Dear KPR Families,

As the year draws to a close, I want to extend my sincere best wishes for a restful and joyful holiday break.

Yesterday was Winter Solstice, a day to mark the return of the sun’s presence in the sky, and a day with important significance in Indigenous cultures and communities. It is recognized as a time of renewal and reflection.

On behalf of myself and the senior administrative team, Chairperson of the Board Jaine Klassen Jeninga, and KPR’s Board of Trustees, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa and Happy Holidays to all who are celebrating in the coming days. Information about Days of Significance is available on the KPR Events Calendar.

As a school district, we remain committed to helping students find success and a sense of well-being and belonging at school and we know there is always more we can do toward these shared goals. I look forward to the start of the new year, filled with many more opportunities to inspire excellence in learning, life and community!

Sincerely,

Rita Russo
Director of Education
