Illness Protocols

KPR works closely with local Public Health Units and follows provincial health guidance, to help protect students and staff. 

Stay Home when Ill 

• Families and staff are reminded of the importance to monitor themselves for possible symptoms of illness and to stay home when sick. The Ontario government’s online self-screening tool is available to help you make an informed decision about whether you or your child should attend school or child care, mask, isolate or consult a health care provider. 

Hand Hygiene and Respiratory Etiquette 

• Appropriate hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette continue to be promoted and integrated throughout the school day. 

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfecting 

•  We continue to follow provincial cleaning directives and implement enhanced cleaning measures as needed. 

Ventilation Measures 

• The Board continues to implement ventilation best practices as outlined in 2021:B14 School Ventilation.
