Dear KPR Families,
With only four weeks of school left, June promises to be a busy and exciting time filled with many important academic, extracurricular and milestone activities, which will be remembered by students for years to come!
Dear KPR Families,
This week, we proudly celebrate Educational Assistants (EA), Child and Youth Workers (CYW), and Personal Care Assistants (PCA) in recognition of World Education Support Personnel Day on May 16. We extend our appreciation to these dedicated professionals whose care and commitment support student success across KPR each and every day!
Dear KPR Families,
Welcome to May, a time of growth, reflection, and celebration! Students are working towards important milestones in their educational journeys, preparing for, or actively participating in provincial testing, and getting ready for what’s next. We are proud to celebrate student achievement and recognize the meaningful role of families and KPR staff in supporting student success.
Dear KPR families,
As spring washes away the remnants of winter, students and schools continue to be engaged in activities in support of sustainability and ecological awareness. These activities increase understanding about environmental issues and acknowledge Earth Day on April 22.
Dear KPR families,
This week spring is certainly upon us, with seasonal showers and warmer temperatures. Earth Hour, on March 28, is an important opportunity each spring, and one that aligns with the Board Action Plan commitment to strengthen environmental consciousness and explore strategies to reduce negative ecological impacts.
Hello everyone,
As we come to the end of February, it is energizing to experience the days getting longer and brighter. I am also energized and inspired during my visits to schools where I see KPR students experience many forms of success and achievement, and demonstrate perseverance and determination, guided by the professional support of KPR staff.
Dear KPR families,
Along with communities across the country, our thoughts and sincere condolences are extended to all those impacted by the tragedy in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia yesterday.
Hello everyone,
At this week’s Board Meeting, I announced my retirement, effective August 2026. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to serve public education in KPRDSB and to have shared this journey with such a wonderful community of students, staff, families and partners. I continue to be humbled and inspired by the ‘KPR spirit’ and look forward to continuing to make great things possible for students in the months ahead!
Hello everyone,
January in KPR is all about Starting Well — with a renewed focus on mental health and well-being. Throughout the month, we’re sharing tips, resources, and strategies, that promote positive mental health, strong relationships, and a sense of belonging in our schools and communities.
